The Saint Marys Gaels comes into Saturday's game at Brigham Young Cougars as one of the hottest teams in the country.
The 20th-ranked Gaels have won 11 games in succession and are the only undefeated team in the West Coast Conference.
The Cougars, new this year to the WCC, have a long history of success against the Gaels, however, having won eight of the 11 meetings, although Saint Mary's won in December by 16.

Saint Mary's Gaels (20-2): The Gaels, riding the fourth-longest winning streak in school history, come into the game with a 1½-game lead over Gonzaga. Saint Mary's leads the WCC in scoring defense, scoring margin, rebound defense, rebound margin and assist/turnover ratio. Junior Matthew Dellavedova leads the team in scoring (15.8 per game). His seven assists Thursday against Loyola Marymount moved him into third on Saint Mary's all-time list with 477. Senior Rob Jones is coming off an 11-point, 15-rebound performance and leads the WCC in rebounds.
Brigham Young Cougars (18-5): Junior forward Brandon Davies comes into the game leading the WCC in scoring in league games (19.3) and second in rebounding (9.6), including a 28-point, seven-rebound game in the first meeting. Forward Noah Hartsock is the team's leading scorer overall at 17.7 points and has scored 20 or more in his last three games. Freshman guard Matt Carlino is off to a great start with 12.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
1. BYU junior forward Stephen Rogers didn’t play against Virginia Tech the last time out because of knee soreness. He is listed as day-to-day.
2. Saint Mary’s sophomore Stephen Holt is the WCC leader in steals.
